About this Event

DURATION: 4 Hours of Instructions FORMAT: 1-Day Weekend Workshop

“Food styling photography isn’t just about taking a delicious image; it’s a way to tell a story about tastes, seasons, and aesthetics.” In this course, noted food photographer Diana Muresan will teach you how to craft a food story through images that are unique, intimate, and meaningful. Various setups with natural light as well as topics that highlight the textural details in food, capturing a natural style with bold shadows and colours will be covered in this class.

Take part in a valuable shooting component to practice simple techniques for food styling that will keep your food fresh and believable on set, and get feedback from the instructor. Food, prop, and materials will be provided.

Hands On —

Get a hands-on approach by putting principles learned into practice. Whether you want to explore a new career in food photography or are seeking to improve your existing food styling skills, this course will arm you with the technical skills and industry knowledge you need to succeed.

Quality Instructor —

Instructor Diana Muresan is a food photographer and stylist with a love for wholesome veggie food, and a giant sweet tooth. Diana’s strength is creating images that highlight the textural details in food, capturing a natural style with bold shadows and colours. Faded matte filters are definitely not her thing, she is after that juicy specular highlight in a food portrait, or the story that a lifestyle image can convey.

Diana works regularly with food brands to bring their vision to life in images, and occasionally, teaches beginner photographers how to make the first steps towards better images through in-person workshops. When not holding the camera, Diana is chasing her 6-year old son through the house, or baking something delicious.
